Free-account universal comp
Knight + Ranger + Sorcerer . Knight stacks armor and blocks the front; Ranger picks off elites with high crit chance; Sorcerer clears trash with AOE. This is the comp the base game balances around, and it carries through most of Acts 1–3.
Bat farm at 1-7 (City Outskirts, Normal)
Goal: kill 5,000 Bats to unlock the Bat pet. Bats are 37% of spawns on 1-7 Normal (Skeleton 1000 + Skeleton Archer 700 + Bat 1000 weighted). Run a tank up front and stack Sorcerer's Fire-class skill for sticky AOE — Bats die fast and pack tight.
Watcher farm at 2-5 (Scorching Dunes, Normal)
2-5 Normal spawns Giant Fly at 40% (Scorpion 1000 + Ratfolk Warrior 1000 + Ratfolk Archer 1000 + Giant Fly 2000 weighted). Kill 5,000 Giant Flies to unlock the Watcher pet. Same AOE template as Bat farming.
DLC boss-rush comp
If you own all three DLCs: Slayer + Hunter + Knight . Slayer brings burst melee, Hunter brings single-target crits, Knight draws aggro so neither DPS gets hit. Built for Act-boss bursts, not for sustained wave clearing.
